Water flossers are high-tech, handy, and beneficial tools that deeply clean your smile without the need for slimy fingers and floss. However, because they are so high tech, many people have a hard time properly operating them. So, if you’re one of these people, Dr. Gina Khong and our dental team are happy to teach you how to use a water flosser in Conroe, Texas, by giving you the instructions you need.
To begin, turn your faucet on and fill the flosser’s tank with lukewarm water (lukewarm water is best, especially if you have sensitive teeth and gums). Then, put the tank back on the base. Don’t forget to put the lid on top. Next, select the type of flosser tip you would like to use and then place it on the handle. Finally, choose the pressure level you would like the flosser to use to clean your mouth.
While cleaning your teeth, wrap your lips around the wand (this will keep the water from spraying). Then, turn the flosser on.
Then, floss the back teeth by aiming the tip just above the gumline and then rinse the entire crevice. Move from tooth to tooth with this same technique. When you have cleaned between each chomper, turn the flosser off and remove the tip by pressing the eject button.
If you follow these instructions, you’ll be on your way toward the clean, pristine, and healthy smile you deserve! However, please remember that you also need to brush your twice each day—every morning and every night. That way you’ll have a complete oral hygiene routine.
